Winter days in Texas are something you may find interesting. Regardless of the cold weather, winter is the best time to visit the Lone Star State. Different events and celebration are happening all over the place. As an eco-friendly guy who loves to stay on top of fashion, these are a few of the events I try to attend each winter.

What do Texans do on the 24th and 25th of December?
During the 24th and 25th of December, cool events are being held in different cities and towns of the Lone Star State. One of the most visited and exciting events every year is the Galveston’s Dickens on the Strand. This annual event brings the people to wear costumes, featuring the characters of the Charles Dickens’ novel. Another is the “Children’s Hospital Holiday Parade”. It is one of the traditional holiday events celebrating in Dallas downtown every first weekend of December for over 20 years.  Also, the “Holiday trails”. The holiday trails are happening in every corner of Texas. Different places have their trails theme, and exhibit wonderful light trails all over their place.

Texan Christmas is never really white just like any other states, where the entire roads, lawns, and rooftops are all covered with huge piles snow.

Another exciting event in Texas during its winter season is Rainbow trout fishing. The Canyon Tailrace near to Austin, maintain the right low temperature to the water that makes the trout fish to grow rapidly. It is really amazing to see Texans Rainbow trout fishing in the middle of cold weather conditions.

How about New Year?
Texas also holds the biggest events for the biggest day of the year, New Year. On the last day of December, to welcome the upcoming New Year, parties and celebrations are being heard all over the Lone Star State. Bars, hotels, and restaurants in different places in Texas display grandiose New Year’s celebration. They present magnificent fireworks displays and lively concerts.
